Junior web developer

If you are a recent graduate with a passion for web programming and looking to develop your skills in an exciting and rapidly expanding web agency, then we want to hear from you. We're looking to hire an internet-obsessed, design-savvy coder with some or all of the following skills:

  • Good knowledge of at least one programming language. We work primarily in Python and Javascript, but are happy for you to learn these on the job.
  • Experience of working with popular web libraries. We use Django and jQuery, but you can learn these on the job as well.
  • Knowledge of writing standards-compliant, high performing HTML5 and CSS web pages.
  • An understanding of database programming and design.
  • Familiarity with *nix based operating systems.
  • Familiarity with popular web APIs, such as Google Maps, Twitter and Facebook.

Relevant experience in the field is excellent but more important still is the drive to learn and expand your skill set. If you've got a commitment to excellence and can demonstrate an aptitude for programming then we want to hear from you.

Web designers (full-time, part-time, contract)

We are currently in the process of building an agency for the future and are looking for sharp creative minds that can help us to deliver high specification creative and technical solutions. The right candidates will be team players who have a passion for all things digital. They will have a deep understanding of the social web and be able to demonstrate cutting-edge creative thinking, and the technical and design expertise to bring ideas to life.

The role may include all or some of the following:

  • Translating innovative concepts into finished interactive designs.
  • Establishing visual tone and messaging that will effectively fulfil project objectives.
  • Interaction with other team members to achieve client objectives.
  • Collaboration with writers and content producers to produce high quality, strategy-driven work.
  • Ensuring that ideas/designs are produced on-time and on-budget.
  • Participation in sales presentations and client meetings.

Required Skills/Experience

  • Mind-blowing proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, HTML and CSS.
  • Ludicrous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrable understanding of usability, typography, layout and information architecture.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years designing rich, interactive experiences for the web.
  • Supreme project and time management skills.
  • Mastery of written, verbal and visual communication.
  • A burning desire to learn new techniques and apply new perspectives to each project.
  • Enjoy working with a young, exciting and highly proficient team.
