Commercialising University research
We delighted to announce the launch of Cambridge Enterprise's new website. Powered by Onespacemedia's content management system, the website is the culmination of four months' in-depth research and development.

The University of Cambridge needed a better way to showcase all the incredible research coming out of the institution so we worked with the team at the Office of External Affairs and Communications to put together a stunning, visually compelling user experience.
The website has to aggregate news, research, images and multimedia across a wide range of themes. The information is gathered from many University departments so a clear information hierarchy and intuitive navigation were essential to the success of the experience.
The back-end was designed on the Wordpress platform to tie in with the University's existing workflows. We brought in third-party comments functionality through Disquss and coded a custom search module that can bring in visual search results from the research website or from across the entire University web ecosystem.
Much of the success of this website rests on the quality of the multimedia assets and copy that make up each post. The images and videos are vibrant and immersive and the copy is thoughtful and engaging. The site is generating substantial traffic and proving to be highly engaging through the debates that are happening through the Disquss platform.
