How do you centralise all of the entrepreneurial activity from across a University's ecosystem? We built a website for a joint venture between Imperial College London, Imperial Innovations and Imperial Hubs to find out.
A site for the digital generation
Targeting a young and digitally switched on audience we worked with Imperial to build a website that aggregates all the news and events from all of the groups, organisations, departments and societies.
Optimised for tablets and mobile the site boasts a vibrant colour scheme and edgy design to complement the brand. Tightly integrated with Facebook and Twitter the site is the centerpiece of a digital strategy than streches across a variety of platforms and technologies.
ICstartup+
Another feature of the site is the management of ICstartup+. ICstartup+ is essentially an accelerator to help students get their ideas of the ground. Students are encouraged to form teams around an idea and build a business. In return they receive workshops, mentoring and access to a whole host of resources including office space.
Teams can create profiles on the website and earn points for completing activities at specially designated ICtstartup events. The teams with the highest points tallies will go on to compete in the Big Pitch competition and the chance to win £20,000.
Agile, rapid development
As well as conceptualizing and designing the website the Onespacemedia team also built a website administration system that provides ICtstartup stakeholders with a simple to use platform to manage content and team information and scoring. We had to deliver this site on a tight budget and even tighter schedule. The site was conceptualised, designed, built, populated and launched in under four weeks.
