The Onespacemedia team has launched a new website and brand for the Bennett Institute for Public Policy, a newly established research centre which forms part of the University of Cambridge, to help build awareness of the institute’s work.
The Bennett Institute for Public Policy dedicates its studies to the influence of political, economic and technological trends on policy creation and change. After a highly successful start since its foundation and with a range of partnerships, funding and a respected team of stakeholders in place, the organisation set out to introduce a new digital strategy.
Onespacemedia was commissioned to provide the basis for the new strategy with a vibrant new brand identity and an intuitive website to effectively present the organisation’s mission, research and activities and allow for future expansion.
The logo design combines three central aspects of the The Bennett Institute for Public Policy: reflecting discussion and opinion, unity and quality. The integrated concept of speech bubbles references solution-finding through conversation, while the circle reflects the bringing together of a wide range of researchers to form a source of trust. The brand communicates the institute’s authority and its influential and leading voice in policy research.
The website gives users a dynamic and intuitive user experience with insights into the Institute’s cutting-edge research and activities, using a modern and open layout. With subtle visual interactions that pace the presentation of key messages it grabs the attention of a broad audience – from academics and the media to current and future investors.
As well as offering up-to-date information on events, news and career opportunities the website also provides a platform for users to search and download the organisation’s publications. Being fully responsive the website offers an outstanding experience across all devices.
Onespacemedia’s founder and MD, James Cotton, commented “The Bennett Institute for Public Policy are conducting research around some of the biggest policy challenges of the 21st century. It was a pleasure to work with them to deliver a strong brand identity and a website that elevates their profile and positions them as a world-class research facility.”
Lucy Theobald, Marketing and Press Administrator for the Bennett Institute commented "The Bennett Institute for Public Policy at the University of Cambridge aims to become a world-leader in achieving successful and sustainable solutions to some of the most pressing problems of our time. Our new brand identity and website will help us communicate our research projects and publications in a way that is accessible to all - our thanks to the team at Onespace for helping us achieve this."
