Cambridge web design and development agency, Onespacemedia, has launched a new website for new interior design and renovations company, Homellio.


Homellio is the ultimate online destination for anyone looking to design, build, renovate, decorate or furnish their home. From designers, architects and tradesmen to home brands, retailers and online stores to inspiration, design trends, practical ideas and advice – Homellio has just about everything a homeowner needs to embark on a home renovation project under one roof. The site hosts a directory of home brands, retailers and professionals who subscribe to the platform to promote their services to potential clients.


Onespacemedia was selected to design and build a modern, vibrant website to launch the company. The challenge was to create a website that served two audiences - homeowners and professionals - and find effortless ways for the two to connect to support Homellio’s commercial goals.


More engaged users means more subscribed professionals, so maximising the user experience was key to boosting revenue for Homellio. The site is crafted to provide homeowners with clear pathways and detailed filtering options to find content and to incentivise sign up to the database. At the heart of the website is a bespoke review system to allow homeowners to rate professionals - encouraging further engagement with the platform and building trust for its members. This is supported by a range of monitoring and moderation tools to help Homellio manage inappropriate content.


To provide flexibility for professionals, Onespacemedia built a complex payment system which allows professionals to access a range of subscription types to suit their individual needs and budgets.
