In its first appearance in the rankings Onespacemedia was named in joint-sixth place in Business Weekly’s New Year Honours ‘Image Makers’ announced on 16 January 2014. The Image Makers category covers a wide range of disciplines including PR, marketing and design and Onespacemedia was the only agency included that is purely focused on digital services.
Tony Quested, Editor of Business Weekly said, “James Cotton’s Onespacemedia team has emerged in recent times as the new power in the Cambridge design and original thinking pantheon. Cotton and James Dellar are particularly talented and have produced some fabulous website creatives for several University departments in Cambridge.”
Quested went on to say, “Designs for the NERC Arctic Research Programme website highlighting the growing threat of global warming set a new high, sensational visually but also capturing the sensitivity of the issue at the heart of the programme.”
Onespacemedia is enjoying a period of rapid expansion and as well as recently winning key accounts with 15 new clients the company has doubled in both headcount and turnover over the last 12 months.
Founder and MD of Onespacemedia James Cotton said, “The loyalty and commitment of the Onespacemedia team is phenomenal. We combine original, business-focussed thinking with the latest technologies and creative trends to deliver online experiences that excite, inspire and ultimately deliver results.
“It is this commitment to excellence that drives us forward. At just two years old Onespacemedia is a relative newcomer so we are thrilled to be in the company of some of the region’s more established agencies and even more pleased to rank as the only purely-digital agency.
“This accolade follows a rating of 92.4% from our clients in an anonymous survey for the Recommended Agency Register. In 2014 we’re aiming for the top of the table and 100% across the board!”
