Based in Cambridge, the Wellcome Genome Campus is home to some of the world’s foremost institutes and organisations in genomics and computational biology, committed to delivering life-changing science with the reach, scale and imagination to solve some of humanity’s greatest challenges.
Onespacemedia was selected by the Wellcome Genome Campus to undertake stakeholder research, provide strategic advice on information architecture as well as messaging and content structure in order to deliver a modern, brand and sector appropriate website design that reflects the world-leading scientific work of the Campus community.
James Cotton, Founder and MD of Onespacemedia, said “The Wellcome Genome Campus represents a community of some of the greatest minds in science and we are thrilled to have been chosen for a such a globally significant project. As information architects and designers our task was to demonstrate the strategic use of modern web design principles to amplify the Campus brand, reflect the culture, science and creativity of the community and support the organisational goals of the tenants.”
In a collaborative process, the website will be developed by the Campus’ own coding team with Onespacemedia providing support in the form of user experience expertise, developer notes and supporting materials.
Wendy Arnsten, Head of Campus Development, said “Onespacemedia developed a fresh, modern and dynamic design for the Wellcome Genome Campus website that helps us to represent ourselves to a broad audience simply and clearly. The team took the time to explore our mission and to investigate the needs of a complex set of stakeholders and website users. They translated our brand assets into a digital environment to great effect resulting in a design that will encourage pride in the Wellcome Genome Campus brand.”
