The Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence (LCFI) is a collaboration between the University of Cambridge, the University of Oxford, Imperial College London, and the University of California, Berkeley, designed to explore the implications of the rapid development of artificial intelligence. LCFI is funded by an unprecedented £10 million grant from the Leverhulme Trust. Its mission is to create an interdisciplinary community of researchers that will work closely with industry and policy-makers.
It is the first centre of its kind that will examine both risks and benefits, short and long term on topics such as regulation of autonomous weapons, responsible innovation, making algorithms transparent, and the implications of AI for democracy.
Onespacemedia were appointed by LCFI to create a modern brand identity and a responsive website that would represent the Centre’s forward-thinking vision using the best in digital design and technology. The site’s homepage features an interactive 3D animation as well as a series of immersive modern UX techniques designed to engage the user.
The data-driven website creates dynamic relationships between related content and features an intuitive navigation system to reinforce the user experience. At the heart of the site is a bespoke content management system that gives the Centre’s staff the tools to manage the site’s content.
